STUDENT INFORMATION

1. YEARBOOK INFO – All pre-ordered yearbooks for 8th graders will be distributed on Thursday, June 3rd during 6th period. No yearbooks will be for sale after school. All pre-ordered 6th & 7th grade yearbooks will be distributed during 6th period on Friday, June 4th. No yearbooks will be sold after school. CONGRATULATIONS to 4 FMS students who participated in the Ventura County Youth Track Varsity Finals: Bantam Division: Irma Torres: 1st in the 3200 meter and 7th in the 1600 meter run; Youth Division: Nayeli Baez: 3rd in the 3200 meter run, Kiana Hope: 1st in the 3200 and 2nd in the 1600 meter run and Val Pillado who ran with the 4 x 100 relay team. Irma, Nayeli & Kiana have qualified to run at the Conference Finals on June 5th in Carpinteria.

STUDENT INFORMATION

1. HEY ALL YOU FLO WRITERS! We need a few good poets for this year’s in our world and turn it into Mr. Chavez for your chance at winning the $50 prize. One $50 prize will be given for each grade level. Entries are due by Friday, May 21st to Mr. Chavez in room K-4. Good luck!
2. SCHOOL RULES – If you have a new address or phone number it is very important that you give the information to the office. We will be mailing important information during the summer regarding our next school year.
3. CHANGE IN LUNCH SCHEDULE– This Thursday, May 20th first and second lunches will be “flipped”. 6th graders will go to first lunch and 7/8th graders will go to second lunch. This is only for one day only! 8th graders will be attending short orientations at the high school during their PE classes.
4. CALLING ALL 6th & 7th GRADERS! Think you’re a good photographer, good at the computer or excellent with numbers, then you’re who we want for next year’s yearbook class. Get your application to be in the yearbook class from Miss Beal in K-3. Applications are due to Miss Beal by Friday, May 21st.
5. WRESTLING CLUB – If you are interested in participating on the wrestling team next year, go to the high school wrestling room on Thursday, May 20th from 3-3:30 p.m. to sign up.

SPECIAL ELECTIVE CLASS – 6th & 7th graders, if you are interested in joining a group of leaders on campus and enjoy activities, dances, rallies, spirit days and leadership conferences, this class is for you. 8. END OF THE YEAR DANCE is coming soon. Save the date! June 4th is our Party Grande starting at 5:30 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale next week. Cost is $5.00 at the door, $4.00 in advance.
