STUDENT INFORMATION

1. GATE STUDENTS – You are invited to attend GATE meetings held after school next week from Monday, May 24th to Friday, May 28th in room B-1. Please come to design your very own artistic treasure chest to represent your life. Use your creativity while learning about some unique and unconventional artists. Please bring any kind of a cardboard box (such as shoe, pencil, etc.) to the meetings.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Harassment or intimidation against students or school personnel may result in a 3-5 day suspension or possible expulsion.
3. CHANGE IN LUNCH SCHEDULE - TODAY first and second lunches will be “flipped”. 6th graders will go to first lunch and 7/8th graders will go to second lunch. This is only for TODAY only! 8th graders will be attending short orientations at the high school during their PE classes.
4. FILLMORE MIDDLE SCHOOL’s last dance of the year is here! The dance is on Friday, June 4th from 5:30-8 p.m. in the gym. The tickets cost $4.00 in advance and $5.00 at the door. Tickets are on sale during both lunches in the pavilion. Students may also pick up a parent permission slip. Glow in the dark items will be sold at the dance as well as snacks and beverages. Students must have a signed permission slip to enter. Parents are welcome!
5. NEW ROTATION starting Monday, May 24th. All students will start the day with period 1 and end the day with period 6.
6. HEY ALL YOU FLO WRITERS! We need a few good poets for this year’s Peace In Our World contest so turn it in to Mr. Chavez for your chance at winning the $50 prize. One $50 prize will be given for each grade level. Entries are due by Friday, May 21st to Mr. Chavez in room K-4. Good luck!
7. CALLING ALL 6th & 7th GRADERS! Think you’re a good photographer, good at the computer or excellent with numbers, then you’re who we want for next year’s yearbook class. Get your application to be in the yearbook class from Miss Beal in K-3. Applications are due to Miss Beal by Friday, May 21st.
8. WRESTLING CLUB – If you are interested in participating on the wrestling team next year, go to the high school wrestling room TODAY from 3-3:30 p.m. to sign up.
9. SPECIAL ELECTIVE CLASS – 6th & 7th graders, if you are interested in joining a group of leaders on campus and enjoy activities, dances, rallies, spirit days and leadership conferences, this class is for you. Come to room G-1 to pick up your packets. Campaign week begins May 24-May 28. Voting takes place Thursday, June 3.
10. HIGH SCHOOL ELECTIVE CLASS – 8th grade students, if you are interested in joining the high school ASB class and enjoy activities, dances, rallies, spirit days and leadership conferences, this class if for you. Come to room G-1 to pick up your packets. Campaign week begins May 24 through May 28. Voting takes place Thursday, June 3.

2. PARENTS ARE WELCOME here at Fillmore Middle School. If you wish to come on our campus, please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge. We want you and your students to have a wonderful experience here at FMS!
