STUDENT INFORMATION

1. GATE STUDENTS – You are invited to attend GATE meetings held after school next week from Monday, May 24th to Friday, May 28th in room B-1. Please come to design your very own artistic treasure chest to represent your life. Use your creativity while learning about some unique and unconventional artists. Please bring any kind of a cardboard box (such as shoe, pencil, etc.) to the meetings.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Theft of any item will result in a 3-5 day suspension and notification of the Sheriff’s Dept.
3. IF YOU OWE MONEY TO THE CAFETERIA you need to pay off your debt by May 28th. If you do not pay off your debt, you will still owe it when the new school year begins. If you move on to the high school, it will still show as being owed to the cafeteria.
4. ENTRIES ARE DUE TODAY for this year’s Peace in Our World poetry contest. Turn your entry in to Mr. Chavez in room K-4. There is a $50 prize for each grade level.
5. FILLMORE MIDDLE SCHOOL’s last dance of the year is here! The dance is on Friday, June 4th from 5:30-8 p.m. in the gym. The tickets cost $4.00 in advance and $5.00 at the door. Tickets are on sale during both lunches in the pavilion. Students may also pick up a parent permission slip. Glow in the dark items will be sold at the dance as well as snacks and beverages. Students must have a signed permission slip to enter. Parents are welcome!
6. NEW ROTATION starting Monday, May 24th. All students will start the day with period 1 and end the day with period 6.
7. CALLING ALL 6th & 7th GRADERS! Applications are due to Miss Beal TODAY if you want to be a part of next year’s yearbook class.
8. SPECIAL ELECTIVE CLASS – 6th & 7th graders, if you are interested in joining a group of leaders on campus and enjoy activities, dances, rallies, spirit days and leadership conferences, this class is for you. Come to room G-1 to pick up your packets. Campaign week begins May 24-May 28. Voting takes place Thursday, June 3.
9. HIGH SCHOOL ELECTIVE CLASS – 8th grade students, if you are interested in joining the high school ASB class and enjoy activities, dances, rallies, spirit days and leadership conferences, this class if for you. Come to room G-1 to pick up your packets. Campaign week begins May 24 through May 28. Voting takes place Thursday, June 3.

2. PARENTS ARE WELCOME here at Fillmore Middle School. If you wish to come on our campus, please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge. We want you and your students to have a wonderful experience here at FMS!
