STUDENT INFORMATION

1. VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE “ART” that is displayed in the library! The last day to vote is Thursday, May 27th. Cash prize for the top 3 places: $50 for 1st, $25 for 2nd, $25 for 3rd. Everyone may vote once for your 5 favorite pieces.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Fighting or encouraging a fight will result in a 3-5 day suspension.
3. PRIDE IN AMERICA DAY – It is a day when we thank veterans for their service in the military and show our appreciation by listening to their stories. This event will take place on Friday, May 28th. Get your red, white & blue clothing or a baseball jersey ready and help us celebrate. There will also be Jamba Juice, pico de gallo, red, white and blue halos and other American trinkets on sale. Please bring your money so that you may enjoy the festivities.
4. PRIDE IN AMERICA DAY LUNCH will cost $3.00 per student and $4.75 for adults. Menu consists of: Hot dog, chile beans, potato chips, watermelon, milk and juice.
5. 8th GRADERS – Our trip to the park will take place on Tuesday, June 8th. To be a part of this fun day, you must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA. Also, you need to pay off any money that you owe. This includes: library fines, lost AR or textbooks, cafeteria dues and Spring pictures. See Mrs. DuBois in room J-2 as soon as you can to check these lists and pay for any of these items.
6. ALL 6th-8th GRADE GIRLS & BOYS who are interested in joining Junior Flashes Pep Squad should contact Ms. Tafoya at the high school. Physicals need to be completed before you can begin.
7. GATE STUDENTS – You are invited to attend GATE meetings held after school this week through Friday, May 28th in room B-1. Please come to design your very own artistic treasure chest to represent your life. Use your creativity while learning about some unique and unconventional artists. Please bring any kind of a cardboard box (such as shoe, pencil, etc.) to the meetings.
8. END OF THE YEAR DANCE is next Friday, June 4th. Save the date for our Party Grande which starts at 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale during both lunches. Cost is $4.00 in advance and $5.00 at the door. Tickets are on sale during both lunches in the pavilion. Students must have a signed parent permission slip in order to enter the dance. Don’t forget to purchase your ticket! Glow in the dark items, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
9. IF YOU OWE MONEY TO THE CAFETERIA you need to pay off your debt by Friday, May 28th. If you do not pay off your debt, you will still owe it when the new school year begins. If you move on to the high school, it will still show as being owed to the cafeteria.

1. PARENT MEET & GREET Friday, May 28th from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in room C-1.
2. OUR FMS WEBSITE is located at: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us, click on the Middle School. Our office staff and teaching staff along with email links are posted.
3. PARENTS ARE WELCOME here at Fillmore Middle School. If you wish to come on our campus, please be sure to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge. We want you and your students to have a wonderful experience here at FMS!
