3. SCHOOL RULES – Sexual Harassment/Sexual Battery – Federal and state laws make sexual harassment illegal, whether it involves boys, girls, opposite-sex or same-sex situations. Some examples of sexual harassment are calling out obscene names, passing dirty notes, calling someone at home, telling dirty stories, staring at a person’s body in a sexual way, purposely bumping into someone or standing in their way so they can’t pass, writing graffiti or starting rumors about someone’s sexual orientation or behavior. Touching someone in a sexual way (pinching, touching or grabbing) is considered sexual battery. This is serious and the harasser can be arrested by police and expelled from school. This behavior will not be tolerated!
4. CAREER LUNCH this Friday, 12/5 in room J-1 during second lunch. Come and meet Erik Johnson who is a commercial airline pilot. Learn what really goes on behind the cockpit door of a big, commercial airplane, like the ones that fly out of LAX! It is definitely not like the movies!

Alberto Cantero Jr. has been nominated by Rhonda Reyes-Deutsch, of Fillmore Middle School to attend a People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington D.C.. Congratulations! The Forum helps prepare the most promising young people for the opportunities and responsibilities ahead. Alberto was nominated as an outstanding student with high academic standing and promising leadership potential. He will join other highly motivated and accomplished middle school scholars from around the globe.

If you plan to attend the game please know that NO mechanical noisemakers (horns, bells, victory bells, sirens, fireworks, chimes, musical instruments other than those in the band) will be permitted inside the stadium. Cheering devices such as wooden blocks or other similar objects are prohibited along with cheer and/or thundersticks. Only uniformed cheerleaders, for the purpose of directing and controlling rooting sections shall use megaphones. The improper use of any of the above-listed devices by supporters could make our team have to forfeit the game.
