STUDENT INFORMATION

1. NEW ROTATION (E) - Start your day with period 5 followed by periods 6, 1, 2, 3, & 4.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Falsification/forging/altering school or parent documents will result in 2 administrative detentions and your parents will be contacted.
3. GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS will take place on Monday, 11/17 at
3:15 pm in the gym.
4. WRITING CONTEST – Write an article using 125 words or less on the meaning of the “Spirit of Giving”. The winner will receive a $50 cash rize and his or her article will be published in The Doghouse. The deadline to submit a winning article is November 21st.
5. POETRY – Have a poem you would like to share? Submit your poem to The Doghouse for publication. This is open to students and staff members.
6. CLUB SUCCESS – If you were invited to Club Success, please turn in your permission slip as soon as possible.
7. TRIVIA CONTEST – Part I: In our November newsletter you will find a trivia contest called “Guess Who”. Guess Who is the name of a staff member at our school. The first 10 students who have all or most of the correct answers receive a prize. You have two weeks after your receive this newsletter to turn your guess in to Ms. Morielli in room G-1. Deadline is November 14. Good Luck!
8. WASHINGTON D.C. – Did you want to go to Washington D.C. but didn’t know how you could afford it? Well, here’s your chance. There’s one free trip available to go to Washington D.C. Any 7th or 8th grade student can apply for the scholarship. See Miss Beal in K-3 or Mrs. Cone in K-1 for the scholarship application. Complete the scholarship form and write an essay about why you want to go on the trip. Turn your form and essay in to Miss Beal or Mrs. Cone by Friday, 11/14/08.
9. YEARBOOKS are now $40.00. This is the last quarter to get your name on your book and the price will go up, so get yours now!

1. PROGRESS GRADES for 2nd quarter were mailed home yesterday, 11/12/08.
2. ANY PARENT who wishes to participate in our school’s newspaper by writing an interesting article or poetry, sharing a favorite recipe, or submitting photos of our school events, please contact Ms. Morielli in room G-1 or email her at: amorielli@fillmore.k12.ca.us
