STUDENT INFORMATION

1. YEARBOOK – Last chance to get your name on your yearbook for $40.00. See the yearbook table at lunch or Miss Beal in K-3.
2. SCHOOL RULES – CrimeStoppers offers a $50 reward for information regarding a crime. Student will remain anonymous. Give your information to Mr. Schieferle or Mrs. Godfrey.
3. SCHOOL SPIRIT – Show the town your spirit and Fillmore pride! Order your Fillmore T-shirt by 12/5. Cost is only $12.00 and the shirts are Black with royal blue lettering. Order one as a gift, get one for your parents, wear them anywhere! See the yearbook table at lunch or Miss Beal in K-3 and order your shirt!
4. CONGRATUATIONS to the FHS varsity football team for making it to the CIF playoffs. FHS will be playing Desert High School this Friday at home! If you plan to attend the game please know that NO mechanical noisemakers (horns, bells, victory bells, sirens, fireworks, chimes, musical instruments other than those in the band) will be permitted inside the stadium. Cheering devices such as wooden blocks or other similar objects are prohibited along with cheer and/or thundersticks. Only uniformed cheerleaders, for the purpose of directing and controlling rooting sections shall use megaphones. The improper use of any of the above-listed devices by supporters could make our team have to forfeit the game.
5. WRITING CONTEST – Write an article using 125 words or less on the meaning of the “Spirit of Giving”. The winner will receive a $50 cash prize and his or her article will be published in The Doghouse. The deadline to submit a winning article is November 21st.
6. DEAR JEAN MARIE – Have a problem, need a solution? Have a questions, need and answer? Write to Jean Marie.
7. POETRY – Have a poem you would like to share? Submit your poem to The Doghouse for publication.
8. CLUB SUCCESS – If you were invited to Club Success, please turn in your permission slip as soon as possible.
9. TRIVIA CONTEST – Part I: Congratulations to our winners: Jose Luis Perez, Isaac Gomez, Clarissa Martinez & Jose Contreras. Check out the Trivia Contest, Part II coming soon in the December issue of The Doghouse.
10. WASHINGTON D.C. – Did you want to go to Washington D.C. but didn’t know how you could afford it? Well, here’s your chance. There’s one free trip available to go to Washington D.C. Any 7th or 8th grade student can apply for the scholarship. See Miss Beal in K-3 or Mrs. Cone in K-1 for the scholarship application. Complete the scholarship form and write an essay about why you want to go on the trip. Turn your form and essay in to Miss Beal or Mrs. Cone by Friday, 11/14/08.
11. YEARBOOKS are now $40.00. This is the last quarter to get your name on your book and the price will go up, so get yours now!

1. PARENT MEET & GREET this Friday, 11/21 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in room
C-1. This is a good time to share information among parents, teachers and administrators. See you there!
