STUDENT INFORMATION

1. FRIDAY, Nov. 12th is the 100th anniversary football game between Fillmore High School and Santa Paula. The game is sold out. There are plans to use the middle school parking lot that afternoon so please plan to leave school immediately at the end of the day to avoid any traffic and congestion that this event will bring. Students should not plan to stay after school on that day for any reason.
2. SCHOOL RULES – If you are suspended more than 20 days in a school year, you will be recommended for expulsion.
3. SPRIT WEDNESDAY – This Wednesday is Hat Day!
4. GREAT ESCAPE – Students with a GPA of 3.3 or higher for first quarter will receive a Great Escape pass this week as follows: 6th grade on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 7th grade on Wednesday, Nov. 10, and 8th grade on Friday, Nov. 12th. Students will go to the pavilion at 2:30 for their reward.
5. DO YOU GET MAD EASILY? Does your anger get you in trouble? If so, come see Mrs. Reyes-Deutsch to sign up for an Anger Management group that is being formed.

6. RED RIBBON & HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES Oct. 25-Oct. 29
• Fri. 10/29 – Red Ribbon Door Contest & Halloween costumes - Dress like your favorite celebrity or wear your favorite Halloween costume. Please remember that ALL school rules must be followed when in costume: No midriffs, halters or tube tops, no extremely short or tight-fitting clothing, no cleavage, no alcohol or drug related apparel, hats are OK but if oversized, they must be taken off in class, a little face paint (if you wear too much you will be asked to clean your face completely), NO MASKS AT ALL, no dangerous or distracting props. If you do not follow these rules you will be asked to change into your PE clothes or clothes provided by the office.

STUDENT INFORMATION

1. GARDEN TOOLS are needed for our Gardening Advisory. If you or your parents have any garden tools you would like to donate, please bring them to Mrs. Merrill’s room. Donations are greatly appreciated!
2. SCHOOL RULES – If you have a new address or phone number, please give the information to the office!
3. 8th GRADE STUDENTS ONLY – If you want your baby picture in the yearbook, get them to Miss Beal in room K-3. There are only 98 spots this year for about 300 8th graders. Put your name and your 4th period teacher’s name on the back of your picture. Spots will be filled as they are turned in on a first come, first served basis. No spots will be held without a photo.
4. RED RIBBON & HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES Oct. 25-Oct. 29
• Fri. 10/29 – Red Ribbon Door Contest & Halloween costumes - Dress like your favorite celebrity or wear your favorite Halloween costume. Please remember that ALL school rules must be followed when in costume: No midriffs, halters or tube tops, no extremely short or tight-fitting clothing, no cleavage, no alcohol or drug related apparel, hats are OK but if oversized, they must be taken off in class, a little face paint (if you wear too much you will be asked to clean your face completely), NO MASKS AT ALL, no dangerous or distracting props. If you do not follow these rules you will be asked to change into your PE clothes or clothes provided by the office.

5. BULLDOGS – You should have received a CST goal setting sheet. Please take the time to ask an adult on campus to help you fill out the form. Get the form signed by your parents and return it to an adult on campus. Once you have turned in your sheet you will be entered into the weekly prize drawing. We will be giving out prizes every Friday for the next 4 weeks. Get your forms turned in as soon as possible.
6. YEARBOOKS – Time is running out! We have sold half the yearbooks. Get yours now before they are gone. Only $45! What an amazing and affordable price which includes your name free! See Miss Beal in K-3 during 1st lunch or our table at 2nd lunch. If you really want a yearbook you better act fast!
7. LOGO CONTEST – The Senior Center is looking for a new logo and they are sponsoring a contest to select one. The winner will receive $50.00. Deadline is Thanksgiving, November 25th. For more information contact Gloria Hansen at jkhansen@prodigy.net

1. YOUTH ACT CLUB – Congratulations to the following students who are now Youth Act Club officers: Annelise Ebell as President, Ramiro Garcia as Vice President, Sara Beylik as Secretary and David Cadena as Treasurer. Way to go! Next meeting will be on Monday, November 8th!

2. SCHOOL RULES – Willful disobedience or disruption of school activities will result in an Administrative Detention or possible suspension.
3. RED RIBBON & HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES Oct. 25-Oct. 29
• Mon. 10/25 – I-Pods during lunch
• Tues. 10/26 – Wear your favorite team jersey and participate in basketball during both lunches – Prizes awarded
• Wed. 10/27 – Wear Pajamas, slippers and bring a stuffed animal
• Thurs. 10/28 – Wear red, crazy hair & sunglasses and participate in a dart game during both lunches – Prizes awarded
• Fri. 10/29 – Halloween costume - dress like your favorite celebrity or wear your favorite Halloween costume. Masks are NOT allowed. Also, there will be a Red Ribbon Door Contest
