STUDENT INFORMATION

1. NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, Sept. 5th - Labor Day holiday.
2. NEW ROTATION starts on Tuesday, Sept. 6th. All students will start the day with period 2 and end the day with period 1.
3. SCHOOL RULES – Engaging in an act of bullying, including cyber-bullying will not be tolerated at FMS! Students responsible will face a 1-5 day suspension.
4. LAST CHANCE to get your Lifetouch Pictures that were taken during registration. You may pick up your picture packet during lunch or after school in the office.
5. VOLLEYBALL PRACTICE starts on Tuesday, Sept. 6th from 3-4:45 p.m. in the gym. Practices will continue to take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3-4:45 p.m.
6. CROSS COUNTRY PRACTICE starts on Tuesday, Sept. 6th from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Meet on the back field for practice.
7. LOST YOUR STUDENT ID CARD? If so, you may purchase a replacement card for $3.00 in the Library. If you were not present during registration to get your ID card, you will need to have your picture taken on Picture Make-Up Day.
8. PICTURE MAKE UP DAY will take place on Monday, Sept. 12th. If you did not have your picture taken during registration you will need to do so on this day. 6th grade will have their pictures taken during 1st period, 7th graders during 2nd period, and 8th graders during 3rd period. Also, if you did not purchase pictures during registration but wish to do so now, you will need to have new photos taken at the designated times.
9. HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL season opens TONIGHT at home. Middle school students are reminded that if they come to the game, they are required to sit in the bleachers to watch the game. Students will not be allowed to loiter behind the bleachers or near the snack bar area. Students who do not comply will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to return to other games this year. Costs for middle school students are $4.00 if accompanied by an adult and ALL students without an adult will pay $7.00.
10. CAFETERIA INFO – Students who receive free breakfast are entitled to one free breakfast OR break snack, not both for free.

1. OUR FIRST NEWSLETTER will be sent home today with students. If you wish to receive a Spanish version you may pick one up at the middle school office.
2. BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT is set for Thursday, Sept. 8th. from 5:15-8 p.m. Stay tuned for more details. Mark your calendar!

1. LIFETOUCH PICTURES are in! If you purchased pictures during registration, you may pick up your picture packet during lunch or after school at the attendance window.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Fighting or encouraging a fight will result in a 3-5 days suspension and possible notification of the Sheriff’s Dept.
3. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS – 7th/8th Grade TODAY - Last names A-K tryout from 3-4:30 p.m. and last names L-Z from 4:30-6 p.m. or you can come on Tuesday, Aug. 30th last names L-Z from 3-4:30 p.m. and last names A-K from 4:30- 6 p.m. 6th grade tryouts from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31st. Flyers are posted in the Attendance Office window and Library window.
4. CAFETERIA INFO – It is very important that you use your ID card when going through the breakfast/lunch line. If you don’t have an ID card, have a copy of your schedule available. Also, if you choose to eat breakfast, you are encouraged to go through the line before school starts or at break. Just remember that break is very short and you need to get in line as soon as break starts.
5. “THE CLUB” meets TODAY, August 29th after school in room G-1. If you are interested in performing skits, plays, dance numbers and musical presentations, then this is the club for you! Snacks will be provided. Come to the super secret location (G-1) and join in the fun!

1. SPIRIT FRIDAY – Show how bright your spirit is – wear sunglasses this Friday!
2. SCHOOL RULES – All students should be appropriately dressed for school. Make sure that there are no visible undergarments, shirts and tops should not be low cut or revealing, pants may not hang below the hips and shorts should be no shorter than thumb tip length. There should be no reference to drugs, race, alcohol, tobacco, gangs, sexuality or tagging.
3. BIKE/SKATEBOARD RACK – If you bring your bike or skateboard, you must lock them in the bike racks located in front of the B building. If you lock them elsewhere, they will be locked with a school lock and you will need to see Dr. Green in order to get it back!

1. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL – If you are interested in being a part of the FMS girls volleyball team, come to a meeting TODAY in the media center. Meetings will be held during both lunches.

STUDENT INFORMATION

1. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL – If you are interested in being a part of the FMS girls volleyball team, come to a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 23rd in the media center. Meetings will be held during both lunches.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Permanent markers are not allowed at Fillmore Middle School. If you bring one to school you will face a 3-day suspension and possible citation by the Sheriff’s Dept.
3. CAFETERIA – Students need to have their ID cards out and ready for scanning when you go through the lunch line. All students must show their ID. We recognize that some students do not have their cards yet and you will still be allowed to go through the lunch line.
