STUDENT INFORMATION
1. CAMFEL ASSEMBLY – “Get a Grip” takes place on Thursday, Sept. 1st. 8th graders will attend the assembly from 8-9:00 a.m.; 7th graders from 9:05-10:05 a.m. and 6th graders from 10:15-11:15 a.m.
2. SCHOOL RULES – Fighting or encouraging a fight will result in a 3-5 days suspension and possible notification of the Sheriff’s Dept.
3. PRIDE IN AMERICA CLUB – Students, do you take pride in everything you do? If so, you might want to join the Pride in America Club. Bring your lunch to room J-1 during 2nd lunch on Wednesday, August 31st.
4. HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL season opens this Friday night at home. Middle school students are reminded that if they come to the game, they are required to sit in the bleachers to watch the game. Students will not be allowed to loiter behind the bleachers or near the snack bar area. Students who do not comply will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to return to other games this year. Costs for middle school students are $4.00 if accompanied by an adult and ALL students without an adult will pay $7.00.
5. LIFETOUCH PICTURES are in! If you purchased pictures during registration, you may pick up your picture packet during lunch or after school at the attendance window.
6. PICTURE MAKE UP DAY will take place on Monday, Sept. 12th. If you did not have your picture taken during registration you will need to do so on this day.
7. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS – 7th/8th graders TODAY - Last names L-Z from 3-4:30 p.m. and last names A-K from 4:30- 6 p.m. 6th grade tryouts from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31st. Flyers are posted in the Attendance Office window and Library window.
8. CAFETERIA INFO – It is very important that you use your ID card when going through the breakfast/lunch line. If you don’t have an ID card, have a copy of your schedule available. Also, if you choose to eat breakfast, you are encouraged to go through the line before school starts or at break. Just remember that break is very short and you need to get in line as soon as break starts.
PARENT INFORMATION
1. BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT is set for Thursday, Sept. 8th. Parents will meet in the gym from 5:15-6:15 to receive information about school programs and resources. Classrooms will be open from 6:30-8 p.m. with a bell schedule for periods 1-6. Mark your calendar!
2. PARENTS – SIGN UP FOR PARENT CONNECTION for Zangle. See your student’s grades, attendance, class assignments. You may access the required form at our website: www.fillmore.k12.ca.us Click on the “For Parents” drop down, Zangle Parent Connection, Registration Form. Print and complete the form and have your student deliver it to the front office. Once processed you will receive a PIN number for accessing your student’s information.
