Arnold G. Munoz, Head JV Coach
NFHS certified in High School Soccer Coaching and AYSO verified, Coach Munoz has been coaching for over 15 years! Specializing in AYSO 4U-18U Boys and Girls, even getting his team in the 10U Girls QTR Final National Games in Hawaii! He’s also led his team into getting Champions in 12U and 14U Area W Girls. Between 2010-2011 his team of 12U Girls had reached the finalists in the Fillmore Dream Soccer Club. Coach Munoz is also NFHS certified in Concussion in Sports and in Sudden Cardiac Arrest SafeSport Training to ensure safety for any of his players!

John Cabral, Assistant Coach
AYSO and Soccer Referee Certified, he’s been coaching for 4U-14U Girls since 2009 and continuing! He was also the coach for the Fillmore Girls Softball team from 2010-2020, and is currently the Fillmore High School Girls Softball Assistant Coach as of 2022. Coach Cabral was the Assistant Coach for California United G2008. With a CPR/First Aid certificate as well he can keep all of his players safe in any situation.

Yanelli”Cobie” Cobian, Assistant Coach
An Assistant coach with 15 years of playing soccer (AYSO) and a year of coaching for (AYSO), her most notable highlights from playing in High School is serving as 3 years as a varsity Starter throughout Sophomore to Senior year. And was a CIF Champion in her Senior year. Even being a MVP also in her Senior year!

Emily Garibay, Assistant Coach
With a playing history for 16 years, playing all 4 years of High School. Even getting into the CIF Championship team in her Senior year of High School in 2018!She is an Assistant Coach for the FHS Girls Soccer Program, and has been going for almost 3 years by this point. Along with that, she had 3 years of coaching in AYSO under her belt.

Tori Villegas, Assistant Coach
13 years of playing in AYSO, Club, and High School, she has been coaching for 1 year in AYSO. She was in the CIF Championship team in 2018, and 2nd Place State team in the same year! Also being the Varsity/JV Flex player in her Freshmen Year.

Jr Lomeli, Head Coach
National D Licensed, with the goal of getting a C license in the following years, Coach Lomeli has had more than 20 years of coaching experience! With SafeSport Training and a Cal-South Concussion Certification to ensure that all players have a safe environment to be always in. Some of his notable accomplishments are as followed: President and Founder of California United FC club back in 2016, even getting Youth Group of the Year in 2017! As of recent the club was in the 2022 Oaks FC Summer Cup 2013G Champions. In this Club there are about 125 children developing. At Fillmore High, Coach Lomeli had the teams he coached inducted in the Hall of Fame in the years 2005, 2006, and 2016, and was able to get in CIF champions in 2005 and 2016, the only two titles in school history! In AYSO U10, he gotWestern States Championships in 2016, the first team in Fillmore History to get that!

Cris Gomez, Head Keeper Coach
Being part of the Coaching Staff of the CIF Championship team, he has been a Goalie Coach for many years. Also being part of most of the League Championships for the program.

Alfonso Martinez, Assistant Coach
20 years of coaching experience, he has been coaching both the Girls and Boys program. He was also part of the two CIF Boys championship Teams.

David Vaca, Assistant Coach
Played Soccer for 30 years in Fillmore High School (2004) and inVentura County Men’s Soccer League (2001-2019) he has Grassroot 11v11 and 9v9 Coaching licenses! Along with that he also has Certifications in Cal-South Concussion and SafeSport training for the safety of all his players. Coach Vaca has coached 6U-10UGirls (2011-2017) for AYSO. In the California United Futbol Club he is currently the Head Coach in the 2008 Girls Team since 2018. In 2022, being the Champions of the Oaks FC Tournament of Champions.

Hector Rubio, Assistant Keeper Coach
Played Soccer for 5 years, High School for 3 years. Getting 1st place in the JV Tournament during High School. He has been a coach for High School for 1 year between 2018-2019.

Two former members of the Fillmore girls cross country team led Moorpark Community College this year. They traded off the top two positions on the team throughout the season, and were instrumental in Moorpark qualifying for the State Final this past Saturday in Fresno. Due to the flu, Alianna Tapia was unable to compete in the State meet. Teammate Vanessa Avila however led the Raider quartet, a non-scoring team, by finishing in 43rd place in 20:01.8.

Rey Laureano, also Fillmore Ali no competed at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida as a member of the Westmont Cross Country team. In the team competition, Westmont finished in 17th place. Rey finished the 8,000 kilometer race in 27:37.3.

On November 11th, Camilo Torres led the Cal State University, Northridge Matadors to the NCAA Division 1 West Regional Finals. This race was run at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, Washington. There the men’s team finished in 27th place. Camilo was the team’s top finisher, capturing 121st place in 30:57.7. He also broke the CSUN 10k Division I school record for freshmen. The previous record was set in 2014. Camilo was also selected the male student/athlete for the week of November 14th.

On Friday, November 11th the Fillmore Raiders Bantam Silver and Juniors Black teams traveled to SoFi Stadium to compete in the Super Bowl. Bantams Silver also traveled to SoFi Stadium however, they lost to Valley Rush but took 2nd place for their National League. Juniors Black defeated Santa Barbara in the Super Bowl and claimed the title of National Champions for their league. Congratulations to both teams on and amazing season! Congrats as well to the Raiders Mighty Mites Silver for claiming the Championship for the American League against Newbury Park on Saturday, November 5th in Ventura. The Raider Bantams Black took 2nd place in the American League. A great season for the Fillmore Youth Raiders Football program!

The boys and girls performed well on the mats, getting key wins from Kobe Avila, Naomi Bonilla, Jeremiah Chapman, Matthew De La Cruz, Paricia Juarez, Cris Martinez, Josh Magallon, and Nakia Magallon. The Fillmore Middle School Wrestling Team competed at Balboa Middle School in Ventura on Wednesday, October 12th. The Bulldogs 6th, 7th, 8th boys and girls performed well on the mats versus opponents from the host school Balboa, as well as Isbell, Matilija, and Sinaloa Middle Schools. The Bulldogs would like to thank parent Armando Avila and his company Sub-Life for donating t-shirts to the team. The team will host an event at Fillmore Middle School on Thursday, October 27th at the Fillmore Middle School Gymnasium. The scheduled start time is 5:30pm.
