![]() On Thursday, May 14, at approximately 2:55 p.m., Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire, and AMR Paramedics responded to a reported traffic collision at Ventura Street and Saratoga Street. Upon arrival, firefighters located two vehicles involved in the crash, with one driver still inside the vehicle. ![]() On Saturday, May 9, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and the Ventura County Fire Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire in the 800 block of Fifth Street, Fillmore. As fire personnel responded, heavy black smoke was visible across the city. Firefighters arrived to find a residence fully engulfed in flames, with all occupants safely evacuated prior to their arrival. Crews initiated an aggressive fire attack, with additional resources from nearby stations assisting in containing and knocking down the fire. The residence sustained significant damage and was red‑tagged. Several residents were displaced as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The American Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to those affected.
