On Friday, August 21, at 9:16 a.m., the Ventura County Fire Department and Ventura County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported structure fire in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue, northwest of the city of Fillmore. Arriving firefighters located a structure fully involved in flames, with avocado orchards nearby. Due to the remote location, a water tender was utilized to support firefighting operations. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire at approximately 9:44 a.m. The structure sustained significant damage, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
