![]() On Sunday, May 17, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire, and AMR Paramedics were dispatched to a reported traffic collision at Ventura Street and B Street. Deputies arrived and located a solo motorcyclist who sustained minor injuries. Deputies conducted a DUI investigation and arrested the rider for DUI. ![]() On Saturday, May 9, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and the Ventura County Fire Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire in the 800 block of Fifth Street, Fillmore. As fire personnel responded, heavy black smoke was visible across the city. Firefighters arrived to find a residence fully engulfed in flames, with all occupants safely evacuated prior to their arrival. Crews initiated an aggressive fire attack, with additional resources from nearby stations assisting in containing and knocking down the fire. The residence sustained significant damage and was red‑tagged. Several residents were displaced as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The American Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to those affected. ![]() On Thursday, May 7, at approximately 7:25 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department and Fillmore City Fire responded to a reported fire in the Santa Clara River near Burlington Street and Reading Street. Deputies arrived and contacted a male subject who was actively causing two small spot fires. During the investigation, the known subject was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
