![]() On Tuesday, August 4, at approximately 12:42 a.m., Fillmore City Fire and Ventura County Fire units were dispatched to a reported fire in the 400 block of Chambersburg Road. Upon arrival, firefighters located a large pile of mulch fully engulfed in flames. Crews, assisted by nearby fire stations, worked to quickly knock down the fire and prevent further spread. Fire personnel remained on scene for roughly three hours to ensure full extinguishment and to address any remaining hot spots. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. ![]() National Night Out brought out the best in Fillmore, with mounted unit horses, K-9 dogs and most of all our first responders interacting with the community they serve. The Mounted Enforcement Unit (MEU), established in 1978, is one of the premiere units of its kind in the state of California. ![]() On Thursday, July 23, at 7:22 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire Department, and AMR Paramedics were dispatched to a reported traffic collision at the intersection of Los Serenos Drive and El Paseo Street. Upon arrival, deputies located a pickup truck that had collided with a parked trailer attached to a parked vehicle. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the collision is under investigation. ![]() On Sunday, July 26, at 11:12 p.m., the Ventura County Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, and AMR Paramedics were dispatched to a reported traffic collision in the Santa Clara River bottom near Torrey Road in Piru. Upon arrival, firefighters located a vehicle that had rolled over with one injured occupant. Firefighters provided medical care at the scene before transporting the patient to a waiting ambulance that was staged off Torrey Road.
