
Victoria Martinez White, a longtime resident of Fillmore, CA, unexpectedly called to heaven on July 21, 2025. She was one of 9 children, known to many as Vicky, born July 2, 1938, in Santa Paula, CA to Alejandro and Antonia Martinez. She graduated from Santa Paula High School.
Vicky worked in the service industry in Ventura County for many decades that included the Limoneria and Calavo Packing Houses in Santa Paula and the Fillmore Convalescent Center. She retired after 16 years of service at age 75 from Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. She enjoyed crocheting, macrame, crafting, making dolls and Christmas stockings, cake decorating, baking and cooking. No one could make flour tortillas or rum cake like Vicky, even though the family tried! She loved to spend her evenings watching the food network, the local news, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud.
She is survived by her sister Vera Cox, son Benny Lovato (Cheryl); granddaughters Brittney Harris (Richard) and Alyssa Searcy (Rhett); grandsons Zachary, Julien (Alexandra), Jeffrey and Jacob Lovato; great granddaughters Madelyn Harris and Clara Searcy; numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by her sons Dino, Gino and Ronnie Lovato; sisters Ignacia Martinez and Virginia Prado (infant twin brother); brothers Freddy, Steve, Robert, and Manuel Martinez.
Memorial services provided by Perez Family Funeral Home, 600 Central Ave, Fillmore, CA 93015; Aug 14, 2025, from 8-11am with a rosary, 10-10:45am. Burial to follow at Bardsdale Cemetery, 1698 S. Sespe Street, Fillmore, CA.
