Victor Hernandez Zavala (August 1945 – October 2023) Because of his smile, he made life more beautiful!

It is with great sadness that the Zavala family announces the passing of our beloved brother Victor Hernandez Zavala 78 of Piru California on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Victor was born August 13, 1945, in Tijuana Baja California Mexico. Our brother had a kind heart, great smile, and will be greatly missed by all his loved ones and all those who knew him.

Victor attended the ARC Program in Santa Paula for many years. He enjoyed being around horses, farm animals, being outside, sitting and talking with his brother Gabriel, walking to his brother Hess’ house, visiting with his neighbor friend, and getting a nice BIG burrito from La Terraza Restaurant. He loved watching Bonanza, drinking a nice cold Coke, but most of all he loved attending the ARC program.

Victor is survived by his siblings Hess (Joy) Zavala, Gloria Davalos, Gilbert (Irene) Zavala, Gabriel Zavala, Tommy (Martha) Zavala, Rosie (Chava) Hurtado, and Martha (Steve) Hope. Also survived by 16 nieces, nephews, many great nieces and nephews and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents Luisa “Licha” Zavala, Jesus “Chuy” Zavala, and nephew Ralph Davalos.

The family would like to thank the following people Dr Bundy, and his staff Dee and Joyce, for your great care. Christina, Veronica, and Desirae with Los Robles Hospice. Thank you for being so caring, compassionate, and helping us with Victor’s care. Yesenia Felix with ARC and Eduardo Cahue (Tri-Counties) for the years of help, compassion, and for always being there for our family. Emilee, and Chanda thank you for loving and caring so much for our brothers. To the current, and past staff at the ARC program of Santa Paula, you all played an important part in our brothers’ life, thank you for being so kind. The family would also like to thank Eddie Carrillo for being our brother’s best friend. Every time we passed your home, he would remind us that his best friend lived there.

Our hearts are broken, but we were blessed and thankful to God to have had our special brother Victor in our lives for so many years.
