
Susan Daphne Marie Kramer passed away at her home in Fillmore, California on May 6, 2025. The cause of death was related to complications from pneumonia. Her daughter, Tracy Kramer, was with her at her death and had also cared for her in the months leading up to her passing.
Susan was raised at the Fillmore Fish Hatchery by her parents Clifford “Bud” and Lenore Harper. She loved the many orange and lemon orchards and the nearby Santa Clara River and always spoke fondly of this period of time in her life. She attended Fillmore High School and graduated in 1955. She excelled in art classes and swimming. After graduating, she lived for a time in Pasadena, California where she met her husband Eric Kramer. They had three children, Mark, Kirk and Tracy She returned to Fillmore and devoted her time to raising her children and working for the California Mens Youth Authority as a cook and a food coordinator.
Susan was a kind and loving person. The family and many others enjoyed talking to her because no matter the problem or issue she would bring out a positive aspect or solution usually accompanied by a biblical verse or message.
Susan had three children, Mark Kramer, now deceased, Tracy Kramer of Simi Valley and Kirk Kramer of Portland, Oregon. She had three brothers Albert and Willard Harper who are now deceased and Harry Harper now living with his wife Susan in Carpinteria, California and an older sister Norma Nunn also deceased. Additionally she is survived by 5 grandchildren. Jacob, Nathan and Timothy Kramer and Lauren and Nickolas Kramer She was also very close to Tracy’s life long partner, Craig Spellman, also of Simi Valley and her sister’s family in Moab, Utah, Richard Nunn, husband, and Norma’s children Greg, Julie and Jeff.

Susan will be missed by all but will live on forever in our hearts and minds.
