Special Olympics School Games Held May 14
Congratulations to all the participants!
Fillmore Unified School District participated in the Special Olympics School Games, which was held on Saturday, May 14 at Newbury Park High School. Teams from around the county participated in track and field events. Fillmore Unified School District had 32 student athletes, ages 5-22, participate in the events. Student buddies from Fillmore High School and Fillmore Middle School supported students in the fun! Athletes were awarded gold, silver, and bronze metals for the 100 yard dash, 50 yard dash, 25 yard assisted race, the standing long jump, the softball throw, and the tennis ball throw.
