Lady Flashes Softball defeats Grace Brethren

The Lady Flashes Varsity team played against Grace Brethren on Tuesday, May 3rd winning 5 – 0.  Karinna Carrillo was the top hitter for the Flashes going 3 for 3.  Jaynessa Lopez went 3 for 2 with a double and a single while Olivia Alcozar went 2 for 3 with singles to help the Lady Flashes.  Amber Magana was on the mound for the Flashes pitching a great game.  The last home game will be on Thursday, May 5th.  Starting at 3:15 pm 5 seniors will be recognized prior to the start of the game against Oaks Christian.  The 5 seniors are Heidi Hinklin, Lilah Duran, Samantha Wokal, Maritza Meza and Olivia Alcozar.  Other team members are Chellie Arreguin, Jaynessa Lopez, Candace Stines, Amber Magana, Kennedy Smith and Karina Carrillo. Overall the Lady Flashes have had a successful season with a record of 16 -5 overall, 5-4 in League.  Next week they will play on Monday at Nordhoff High School, and Tuesday against St. Bonaventure at Camino Real Park.
