(Above) Fillmore’s #7 Dylan Sierra as he dives into the end zone scoring a touchdown for the Flashes in their playoff game against South Pasadena. The Flashes won in the first round of the CIF playoffs against South Pasadena with a score of 47-27. Senior Quarterback Jared Schieferle led the way on offense with 3 touchdown passes, two of them to junior wide receiver Dylan Sierra. Seniors Ryan Gonzalez and Bryce Nunez also added touchdowns. On defense, the Flashes were led by junior defensive linemen Nick Jimenez who had 4 sacks and a total of 7 tackles. Nick did it all for the Flashes, as he also had a 13 yard rushing touchdown. Seniors Paget Ekelund and Tyler Coart also had strong defensive performances for Fillmore. Next week the Flashes are away at Yorba Linda HS versus Esperanza High School in round 2 of the playoffs.
