Fillmore & Piru Runners Compete at Los Angeles Marathon

On Sunday, March 8, runners toed the starting line along with 20,810 other competitors to run in the 41st rendition of the Los Angeles Marathon. The conditions were not ideal for the competitors having to manage hot, sunny, and windy conditions with very little shade.
Piru runner, Fabian Ochoa ran the 26.2-mile course in 3:36.16. Alejandro Garcia was next in 4:06.20, Blanca Becerra Mariel in 4:21.5, and Nadia Geisser in 6:05.14.
Fillmore runners also toed the line, with 7 participants. Chad Petuoglu led the group with a time of 3:26.56. He was followed by Jose Ibarra in 3:41.48, Eric Magana in 4:25.36, Katherine Lobao in 4:33.31, Nick Engelhart in 4:46.08, Sarah Topolsky in 5:33.10, and Sheena Dietz in 7:07.57.
