The mats were electric with energy at Azusa Pacific University as the North American Grappling Association (NAGA) hosted its
Los Angeles Grappling & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Among the hundreds of athletes competing, three standout members of
Perce’s Kenpo Karate Studio delivered outstanding performances, returning home with an impressive haul of medals.

Leading the team was Jose Ramirez, who dominated the Heavyweight Gi Division to take home gold and secured the prestigious
NAGA Championship Belt in the No-Gi Blue and Purple Belt Division.

Emma Lopez also stood out, earning double silver with second-place finishes in both the Gi and No-Gi Female White Belt
Divisions.

Rounding out the team’s success was Dayana Ramirez, who earned a bronze medal in the Gi Female White Belt Division.

Perce’s Kenpo Karate offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for both kids and adults. These classes are taught by Professor
Michael Torres, a Gracie Humaita Black Belt under Professor Mario Aiello. For more information call or text: 805-443-8501.
