Fillmore Flashes Varsity Football
Submitted by Head Coach Sean Miller. Last Friday night, the Fillmore Flashes lost to the Brentwood School Eagles 7-34 in their second game of the season to even out their record at 1-1. The Flashes struggled with mental mistakes all game but were led by strong performances by David Rivas and Juan Gallegos on the offensive line. Junior Josh Lagunas also made some key plays on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Sophomore defensive linemen Nick Jimenez turned in another strong performance as Brentwood struggled to move the ball on the ground. Junior running back Bryce Nunez finished with 73 yards rushing. Next game up for the Flashes is HOME vs. Trinity Classical this Friday, 8/31, at 7:30pm. All Fillmore Flashes Football & Cheer photos courtesy Crystal Gurrola.
