Last Friday, the Fillmore Flashes improved their record to 5-0 with a 42-3 win against Temple City high school. The defense was led by senior middle linebacker, David Julian and his 7 tackles and 1 interception. Senior linebacker David Tovar added 2 sacks, while senior defensive backs Paget Ekelund and Nick Herrera each had an interception. On offense, senior Running Back Bryce Nunez had 109 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. Quarterback Jared Schieferle also threw for 3 touchdowns, two of them to senior receiver Paget Ekelund who finished with 6 catches for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.
