The Fillmore Flashes football team got their first league win, 28-14 vs. Hueneme High School, to improve their overall record to 4-3. Senior linebacker Abraham Santa Rosa and senior defensive lineman Marshall Martinez both had strong games. Junior defensive back Ryan Gonzalez contributed with his first interception of the year. Running back Bryce Nunez led the way again with 116 yards rushing and 3 TDs. Senior quarterback Jake Saviers threw for 111 yards on 13 of 19 passing and 1 touchdown to junior receiver Jared Schieferle. Flashes JV also defeated Hueneme with a final score of 28-20.
