Last Friday night, the Fillmore Flashes football team lost to Nordhoff, 24-13, to bring their record to 3-3. With running back Bryce Nunez out, David Tovar led the team in rushing with 84 yards, and junior Hugo Virto contributed with 73 yards on the ground as well. On defense, junior Ryan Gonzalez returned from an offseason ankle injury to lead the team with 11 total tackles. Sophomore Nick Jimenez continued his strong season with 2 sacks and a total of 7 tackles. The Flashes JV also fell short to Nordoff last week with a final score of 21 – 12.
