By Erika Arana Thousand Oaks, CA — The California United FC 2013 Girls have done it again, claiming the Grey Division Championship at the Thousand Oaks FC Tournament of Champions over Memorial Day weekend, May 24–25, 2025. This marks the second time the talented squad has taken home the title from this competitive tournament, solidifying their place as a force to be reckoned with in Southern California youth soccer. Over the course of four games, California United went undefeated with a stellar record of 3 wins and 1 tie. Their run was marked by dominant offense, clutch defending, and standout performances from several players. Tournament Recap: Game 1: California United 7-1 AYSO United Burbank *** Game 2: California United 2-2 FFGS *** Game 3: California United 1-0 Oaks Red *** Championship Game: California United 3-0 FFGS Facing off once more against FFGS, California United left no doubt in the final. Sarai Prado scored twice, and Hanna Sasson added the third goal. Aixa Lomeli and Siani Lomeli provided key assists. Cervantez capped off the tournament with another shutout. Final Record: 3-0-1. |
