Saturday, November 15, Westlake High School-The Fillmore High School boys wrestling team delivered a series of strong performances at the Heart of the Warriors Tournament held at Westlake High School on Saturday, November 15. Under the leadership of head coach Manuel Ponce, the Flashes battled through deep brackets and showcased growing confidence and competitiveness at their first tournament of the season. The team placed 6th out of a field of 12 teams, with three athletes out of six taking home medals.
The Flashes will be home vs. the Hueneme Vikings on Wednesday, December 3, with matches beginning at 5:30p.m. in the FHS Gymnasium and their next tournament will be on December 12 at Thousand Oaks High School.

126 lbs. — Tony Lemus: 3-0, 1st Place
132 lbs. — James Alcantar: 3-2
150 lbs. — Chris Cardenas: 0-2
175 lbs. — Gonzalo Landeros: 5-1, 3rd Place
190 lbs. — Brendan Morales: 3-2
285 lbs. — Valentine Garcia: 5-1, 3rd Place
