On Saturday, June 6th, Camarillo, CA -Incoming Fillmore High School 9th grader Cayden Balades earned an impressive 2nd place finish at the Annual Matt Hickman Memorial Tournament in Camarillo. Balades has been sharpening his skills on the local circuit through USA Wrestling Freestyle competitions, earning the honor of representing the Tri-Counties in dual competitions. With talent, experience, and a competitive drive already on display, Balades is shaping up to be a newcomer to watch when he suits up for the Flashes this coming summer season.
FHS will be hosting a Summer School Wrestling Program open to all boys and girls, featuring two home meets at the FHS Gym on Saturday, July 18th and Saturday, July 25th. Any FHS athlete interested in joining the program is encouraged to reach out to Coach Torres at michael.torres@fillmoreusd.org and take the first step toward becoming a Flashes wrestler.
