Senorina Ceballos Gurrola passed away peacefully on August 7, 2023, at the age of 97 in Visalia, California. Senorina had previously lived in Fillmore, California nearly her entire life.
She was born on April 22, 1926 in LaVerne, California to Felix & Julia Ceballos. On July 7, 1954 she married Gregg Gurrola in Los Angeles then moved to Fillmore to live & raise her family. She was devoted to her family and friends.
Senorina loved gatherings, word search puzzles, watching Spanish talk shows and movies, and court case shows, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. She loved cooking traditional meals like tamales, buñuelos, capirotada, and more. She loved traveling to Vegas and Laughlin with her dear friend, Alice Ortega, and other friends.
Senorina was a very sacred and devoted Catholic, practicing her faith in Fillmore and Visalia.
She is survived by her children: Greg (Paula) & Rose (Tommy), siblings; Andrea Cisneros, Santa Sapien & Lupe Bustillos, grandchildren; Kristen (Tony), Shannon (Pete), Vanessa, Nichole (Justin) & Melody (Bryant), great-grandchildren; Nicholas, Monet, Brooke, Michael, Zane, Emma, Kinza & Brixley. Preceded in death her parents, husband, brothers: Eustaqiuo (Tacho), Roberto & Pedro, sisters: Anastasia Parra, Benita Castillo, Emilia Gutierrez & Filipe Delgado.
A rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1048 Ventura St, Fillmore, CA 93015. Graveside services immediately to follow at Bardsdale Cemetery, 1698 S Sespe St, Fillmore, CA 93015.
