Senior Fraud Prevention Workshop

Ventura County, CA – Ventura County Community Development Corporation (VCCDC) and Ventura County Credit Union are partnering to bring the community a Senior Fraud Prevention workshop. The information from this workshop will help seniors and their families learn about the top scams affecting seniors and what to do to prevent them. There will be a demonstration on a common type of fraud called “check washing” as well as helpful resources to prevent scams and to report scams. The workshop will be held Tuesday, December 15th, 2015 at 9:30am in English and 11:00am in Spanish at the VCCDC Home Ownership Center located at 2231 Sturgis Road, Suite A in Oxnard, CA. There is no cost to attend the workshop and it is open to the public.
