NICU Golf, Benefactors’ Ball Set for Same Weekend in September

Ventura, CA - Community Memorial Healthcare Foundation is holding two of its most well-known events on the same weekend in September at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa and invites the public to attend one or both of these events. The 15th Annual NICU Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, Sept. 28, with the 40th Annual Benefactors’ Ball is set for Saturday, Sept. 29.

Community Memorial Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing care for premature and struggling infants, benefits from the funds raised at the NICU Golf Tournament. The unit holds a Level IIIb designation, a certification reflecting the highest quality of comprehensive care. Funds raised from this year’s tournament will go toward the purchase of a Birthing Simulator.

In addition to golf, the tournament features lunch, prizes, and awards, and is a four-person “Texas Scramble” format. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. Tee time. The field is limited to 144 players. For more information visit www.nicugolf.org, or call the Foundation office 805/667-2881.

The Benefactors’ Ball will begin with a wine-tasting reception at 5:30 p.m. at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, Ojai, with the cocktail hour beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner is set for 7 p.m., with dancing and music performed by the world renowned sound of Soul City Survivors starting at 8 p.m. The evening is black tie optional.

This year the Benefactors’ Ball will raise funds to go toward the purchase of a CT scanner for the Emergency Department in the new Community Memorial Hospital. For more information visit www.benefactorsball.org, or call the Foundation office 805/667-2881.
