VENTURA, CA - SCAN Health Plan has partnered with Ventura County Area Agency on Aging and Grey Law of Ventura County Inc. to offer a free legal workshop for seniors. The program, Legal Information for Elders (LIFE), will be held on Friday, July 27, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at SCAN Senior Resource Center, 1001 Partridge Dr., #200, in Ventura.

The workshop will cover topics of importance to seniors, including:
recognizing your legal needs, grandchildren and legal relationships, housing disputes, communication and overcoming conflicts, hiring legal professionals, when you need the courts, and understanding legal terms.

"There can be great peace of mind in knowing your legal options," said Steve Lehman, MBA, MPH, manager of the SCAN Senior Resource Center. "As a health plan committed to healthy, independent aging, we are pleased to be a partner in bringing this helpful resource to local seniors."
