The Fillmore Senior Center will be looking for “New Board Members” in June, so if your interested please

Learn about Advance health care directives, Creating a Will, Power of Attorney, Caregiver’s Authorization Affidavit, Grandchildren and legal relationships’, Housing disputes, When you need the Courts and much more. Friday June 7th “Living Within Your Means” This is a FREE” Financial Workshop from 10:00 - 11:30AM. Open to Seniors 55 and older. It will include topics such as working within a budget, clearing debt, setting priorities and more. The speaker, Harry Starn is the Associated Director of the California Institute of Finance at California Lutheran University. He will provide tools that can be used to ease the stress of planning your finances, no matter what your income situation is. Registration is required for this event, Call 524-4533 to reserve your space. The Center is located at 533 Santa Clara Street, In Fillmore.

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Groups, Monday June 10th in English and Friday June 14th in Spanish, Both are located in the Library at the Fillmore Senior Center, 533 Santa Clara St. at 10:00 AM.

Also on Friday, June 14th at 10:00 AM. HICAP/MEDICARE will be here to answer questions regarding updates on Medicare Ambulance Billing and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is changing to Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics Supplies (DMEPOS) on July 1, 2013. This change will effect all Medicare Beneficiaries. This is a “Free” Workshop.
