VENTURA COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH: Healthier Living Workshops. An Evidence-
Based, Self Management Workshop developed at Stanford university.
Topics include: Making informed treatment decisions; Working with healthcare
Professionals; Pain and fatigue management; Getting a good night’s sleep;
Preventing falls. Setting achievable health goals. You or someone you care for, may
have to live with a chronic disease, but can still live well !
Thursdays January 19,26; February 2,9, 16, & 23, 2017. 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

A MATTER OF BALANCE: Managing concerns about falls. This program
emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. Classes are held weekly, one day
per week, two hours each day, for 8 weeks. Wednesday January, 25 Feb 1, 8,
22, 2017, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 2017.

WALK WITH EASE: Walk With Ease is an exercise program that can reduce pain
and improve overall health. Benefits of Program: Reduced Pain - Improved Flexibility
Increased Energy - Walk Safely. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. Starting
February 13, March 27, 2017, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. If you can be on your feet for
10 minute without increased pain, you can have success with walk with Ease. Pre-

The Senior Nutrition Program is looking for drivers to deliver meals to our
local Seniors. Contact Ms. Teresita Rocha (805) 524-3756, for details.

Lunch served Monday thru Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. $3.00 donation for 60
years of age and older.

Volunteers Needed: To teach exercise classes at the Active Adult Center 533 Santa

home ready-to-eat hot meals on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
