Ventura, CA - Alzheimer’s disease – the most common form of dementia that affects as many as 5 million Americans – will be the focus of Community Memorial Health System’s free monthly seminar to be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Neda Heidari, M.D., a Ventura neurologist, will lead the seminar that will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital, 147 Brent St. in Ventura.

Dr. Heidari will focus on information about simple memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. She also will discuss how the progressive brain disorders are diagnosed and treated as well as what resources are available for caregivers.

Dr. Heidari received her medical degree from the University of Tehran and is a board-certified neurologist sub-specializing in neuromuscular diseases and epilepsy. She is an active member of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff.
