Richard Schmittou of Fillmore CA, passed away on Saturday, Jan.2, 2021. Predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Corinne (Hunter). Survived by daughter Krysten Rieger, son Eric Schmittou (Ronda), and companion of 26 years, Josephine Myers. Dick served in WWII in the 101st Airborne Division in Bavaria. Following the war, he taught at Sespe School and managed the McNab Ranch in Fillmore. During his lifetime he volunteered for many activities, all with the theme of teaching and helping others.
