Raymond Beserra

Raymond Beserra, 50, of Fillmore died February 20, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born September 23, 1958 in Pomona and had been a resident of Ventura County for over 27 years. He worked in the family business, California Watercress, in Fillmore as a truck driver for over 30 years.
Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed collecting Eagles and Elvis memorabilia. And those who knew him very well knew that he idolized and also thought he was Elvis at times. He loved attending NASCAR races. He also enjoyed being photographed and going fishing. He enjoyed spending "Special" moments with his mom and dad. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ramon and Teresa Beserra and Teresa Perez.
He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine Beserra of 25 years. His parents Alfred and Teresa Beserra. Children; Bonnie Beserra (Mark), Bernadette Beserra (David), Bodine Beserra (Angel) Bianca Beserra (Angel), Bernice Beserra (Robert), Brenda Becerra (Angel), Brandy Luna (Jaime), Mark Valenzuela, and Joshua Valenzuela (Lily). Sisters; Cathy King (Bobby), Susan Barbera (Ricardo) and Lilian Beserra. Brothers; Alfred Beserra (Lorie), Leonard Beserra (Michelle) and Alex Beserra and 28 grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 24 at 8:00 P.M. at San Salvador Mission Church in Piru. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 25 at 10:00 at San Salvador Mission Church with burial immediately following at Bardsdale Cemetery in Fillmore.
