Ramona Constance Ortega Golson (Feb 17,1923- Feb 09, 2009)
Ramona passed away into Gods hands, on February 9th, 2009. She was one of 13 children born to Amanda and Ignacio Ortega. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee W of over 50 years. Her daughters Pauline, Mary Margaret, her son's Jerry, Anthony and Lee Golson Jr., Her siblings Jennie Ruiz, Joe Ortega and Victor Ortega.
Ramona was born, raised, married and worked most of her life in Piru, California. She retired from the Piru Citrus Asso.
She will always be remembered for her love of her large extended family, her willingness to forgive and for her ability to enjoy life, when life was not always a joy. She will be fondly remembered by all those whose life she enriched.
She leaves behind a loving family; her son's Ronald, Patrick, Daniel and Timothy. Daughters Lydia Lopez, Cindy Lopez and Valerie Villa, 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great- great granddaughter, all of whom she loved very much. She also leaves behind her brothers Angel and Henry (Hank) Ortega. Sisters Mary Rangel, Connie Ruiz, Catherine Cervantez and Delfina Ortega.
Her last joy was being able to share in a 5th generational photo this past January. She held her great- great granddaughter Azaria Rose Aguilar.
Rosary-Memorial services will be held at 6pm, at San Salvador church Piru, Ca on Friday February 13th. Mass will be held at San Salvador church Piru at 10am Saturday February 14th father Barney presiding.
Internment will be at the Piru cemetery on Saturday February 14th following mass.
