The Moorpark Special Enforcement / Gang Unit has been conducting an ongoing investigation in reference to multiple graffiti vandalisms over the course of many months. The vandals used spray paint, markers, and etching tools to vandalize several areas throughout Moorpark, including Arroyo Vista Park, Poindexter Park, Flory School, and Moorpark High School. Possible suspects were identified and several probation searches were conducted on 6-04-2010 and 6-05-2010. Evidence linking the suspects to the graffiti vandalisms, which date back to 1-2-2009, was discovered.

Four juveniles were arrested, three of which were lodged at Juvenile Hall. Based on evidence obtained during the probation searches, and interviews with the suspects, the Moorpark Special Enforcement / Gang Unit cleared 22 felony vandalism cases and five misdemeanor vandalism cases. The four juveniles were responsible for over $47,000 worth of damage to the city of Moorpark and various businesses.
