On 2-14-14 at approximately 1433 hours, the Santa Paula Police Department responded to a call of a subject disturbing on Steckel Drive in front of the Glen City Elementary School. The reporting party indicated a male subject was observed putting his hands in his pockets and stating he was going to kill someone. The caller feared the subject possibly was armed. Police units responded and the school was placed on lockdown. An officer was stationed at the school as additional officers checked the area for the possible suspect. After an extensive search of the area the suspect was not located. Once the school was deemed safe the children were released to their parents. Officers remained in the area as school was released and on campus. It is believed that the subject heard making the statements was on a cellular telephone and not making threats to anyone at the school. There was no indication the subject was armed and no witnesses observed any weapons. All incidents of this nature are taken extremely seriously and the publics assistance was greatly appreciated in this matter.
