Sexual Assault Arrest, Thousand Oaks

 CHRISTOPHER ATKINSON Christopher Atkinson (age 23) was arrested outside of his Thousand Oaks apartment after a police investigation revealed Atkinson engaged in sexual activity with a 15 year-old female. Atkinson was a campus supervisor and baseball coach for Moorpark High School where he first began talking to the 15 year old female, who is a student at the school. He continued communicating with the student away from school through the Internet site, “MySpace.” Atkinson arranged to meet the girl outside of school hours and brought her to his residence in Thousand Oaks. There, he provided her alcohol and subsequently sexually assaulted her. Atkinson was new to working at the school and had only been employed there for a couple of months.
