A local man was shot and killed outside a motorcycle repair shop Monday afternoon. The 45-year-old victim collapsed in the parking lot after being confronted by another man who was armed with a handgun.

Witnesses described hearing several shots in what was a very public shooting in a busy light industrial area where many automotive repair businesses are located. Investigators have learned that the victim and the shooter knew each other, and the shooting was not a random act.

Investigators have identified the following individual as a person of interest in this case:

Daniel Charles Wildman
DOB: Mar. 9, 1965
White male, 5’11” 180 lbs.
Brown hair and brown eyes

Wildman is believed to be driving a silver, 1990 Nissan sports coupe with a California license number of 6BCT674. Wildman should be considered armed, and anyone who locates him should immediately call 9-1-1 or contact the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department at (805)654-9511.
