Local resident arrested for home burglary

Investigators arrested an 18-year-old man Wednesday afternoon for conspiracy and residential burglary after linking him to a home burglary that took place in February 2010.

Andrew Clarkson was arrested in Thousand Oaks during a traffic stop at California Lutheran University. Clarkson was identified as one of three suspects involved in the midday burglary, during which numerous items were stolen from the victim’s home, including jewelry and valuable electronics.

Clarkson was booked at the East County Jail and remains in custody in lieu of $60,000.00 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on May 28, 2010 at 1:30 p.m.

The investigation into other individuals involved in the burglary is ongoing.
