On 9-28-2011, the Sheriff’s East County Narcotic Street Team and the City of Thousand Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit concluded a month long heroin distribution investigation. A person identified as Ronaldo Hernandez was distributing large quantities of heroin from the Los Angeles area into the Conejo Valley. On 9-28-2011, Hernandez was arrested in Sun Valley after he sold heroin to an undercover agent. Hernandez knew the heroin was destined for the Conejo Valley where it would be resold to customers. Hernandez had approximately a quarter kilo of heroin in his vehicle, which has a potential street value of $16,000. Hernandez was booked into the Ventura County Jail for heroin sales and his bail was set at $250,000. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Ventura County Superior Court on 9-30-2011.
