Fatal Hit and Run Traffic Collision

 Ventura County Sheriff's Department On 10/24/10, at approximately 0320 hours, Salvador Bautista Jr. was walking in the eastbound traffic lanes of Lynn Road when an unknown vehicle struck him. Bautista came to rest in the eastbound bicycle lane of Lynn Road west of Kelley Road. Bautista suffered major internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. The driver of the vehicle, which struck Bautista, fled the scene. The investigation is continuing.
