VENTURA, CA - District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that the District Attorney’s Office will not seek the death penalty for Erick Estrada (DOB 8/31/1988) of Ventura.

Estrada is charged with the murder of murder of Gabriel Gutierrez, who was shot to death on July 31, 2013.

Beyond this news release, there will be no further comment on this matter.
