At about 4:09 am, Victim Selvin Corpeno called the Sheriff’s Communication Center and said two unknown suspects robbed him at gunpoint. Corpeno said he parked his big rig on the street in front of the Valero Gas Station when a male and female suspect approached him. The female produced a handgun and demanded that he give up his wallet, which contained an undetermined amount of cash. Corpeno gave the suspect his wallet and the suspects then fled on foot into the nearby residential area. No shots were fired and Corpeno was not injured during the robbery. The suspects were only described as a male Hispanic, about 23 years old and a very thin female suspect, about 28 years old with bleach blonde hair.

The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with any information regarding this case is urged to contact Sheriff Major Crimes. Also, Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information which leads to the arrest and criminal complaint against the person(s) responsible for this crime.
