
On August 22nd, 2025, Neal Edward Bishop was called home, affectionately known as Spanky at the age of 69. He passed away in Ventura, CA.
He was born on May 19th, 1956, in Augusta, GA to Robert and Beverly Bishop. As a kid he moved around a lot with his father being a veteran. He lived in Fillmore, CA a majority of his life, he also spent time in Texas.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR on Sundays, cheering on his 49ers, spending time with his family, going fishing in Mexico as well as Bishop lake, and cruising in Ventura. He had a love for drawing and creating things to decorate his garden with, he had a very creative mind.
He also loved spending time with his two daughters, Mady and Anjalee. Although Anjalee was just a best friend he treated her as his own. They spent a lot of time together, eating at their favorites places, cruising along the PCH, taking them trick or treating, or even just sitting in the car laughing. He taught them both how to drive and enjoyed every second of it.
He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 10 1/2 years Vanessa Michelle Bishop, both his parents Robert and Beverly Bishop, his brother Kenneth Bishop, brother-in-law Robert (Sheriff) Silva, and best friend George Kutbach. He is survived by his daughter Madyson Bishop, Anjalee Vargas, sister Kathy Bishop, father and mother-in-law David and Chyrel Hill, sister-in-law Leslie Silva, good friends Rick Kutbach, Amanda Parker, Marcos and Debbie Castro, The Kutbach Family, and The Castro Family.
A Celebration of Life will be on October 25th at 12pm. Located at 325 4th Street in Fillmore, California. Everyone who knew and loved him are welcome to come and honor his memory.
